Each fall, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Board and Executive Director conduct Focus Group meetings with chamber members. The intention is to give you; our member; an opportunity to provide feedback to the chamber.
2009 Focus Group meeting dates have been scheduled. Please contact us if you are available to attend one of these sessions. Lunch is on us!

The evening includes Halloween music by WSZX Radio, games, crafts, hayrides to our pumpkin patch, bonfire, pony rides, the public library will be there to do story time and much more for your family to enjoy! Each CHILD will be able to pick their own pumpkin at our pumpkin patch! (limited number pumpkins available)

Grover Museum

Grover Museum will open the Streets of Old Shelby for trick or treat. Bring the little ghosts and goblins in after visiting the library’s Frightening Fun-Filled Festival for a stroll through the old town.
The Annual Festival of the Trees opens to the public on Tuesday, November 3rd at Grover Museum. The theme is “My Favorite Pastime” and volunteers from the community have decorated the trees in an amazing array of collections.
This year there will be a “Christmas Brunch” on Saturday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. in the gallery surrounded by the trees. Details pending.
The Shelby County Historical Society Fall Dinner Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 19th at Grover Museum. Doors open at 6:00. Dinner at 6:30. Catered by Occasions: Chicken Dinner including dessert and drink. Darrin Isaac, Waldron High School student and winner of the 2009 ShelbyIdol competition, will entertain. Reservations are required. Please call Grover Museum at 392-4634 for details.

The Cossairt Florist shop at 139 West Boggstown Road, will be collecting non-perishable/non-expired food items for the Matthew 25:35 Food Pantry headquartered at the First Christian Church on West Washington St, here in Shelbyville. As a thank you for food contributions, the Cossairt Florist will give donor a collectable Webkinz pet (plush animal). There are over 50 styles from which to choose. There is a limit on "Thank You’s” to one per household.
